"Gallery Agniel and Perishable Theatre present RHODE ISLAND WOMEN IN THE VISUAL ARTS 2001 in conjunction with the Ninth Annual Women's Playwriting Festival."
This installment of RI Women in the Visual Arts was the second collaboration between Gallery Agniel and Perishable Theater. Begun in 2000 with a group show of 16 artists exhibited at Perishable, by 2001 RI Women in the Visual Arts grew to encompass four locations.
The show included an installation of paintings by Kim Kazan at the Rhode Island Council for the Humanities. Sculpture by Jill Colinan hung at the Hive Archive's StreetSpace in Olneyville. Elizabeth Keithline installed her woven wire forms at the Lerner Building. And, at Perishable Theatre, Cristin Searles exhibited textile "paintings" and sculpture.
