Sara Agniel founded Gallery Agniel in 1998 with a mission to exhibit challenging visual art by living artists and create a public forum for the exchange of ideas in an atmosphere that brings together collectors and artists. Located on Wickenden Street on the East Side of Providence from 1998 to 2001, the gallery later became known for producing temporary exhibitions that placed visual art in unusual and provocative architectural environments. From 2004 - 2006 Gallery Agniel was located at 120 North Main Street at the foot of College Hill in Providence in a shared exhibition space with contemporary jewelry gallery Martina & Company.
